Two-Factor Authentication and Account Security
Enable authenticator-app two-factor authentication, save backup codes, and understand provider-managed security.
Security settings currently focus on two-factor authentication. If your Songkeeper account uses a password, you can add an authenticator-app code as a second sign-in step.
Two-Factor Authentication
Songkeeper uses time-based one-time passwords from an authenticator app. The setup flow asks for your password first, then shows a QR code and manual secret for adding Songkeeper to your authenticator.
Enable 2FA
- Enter your password to confirm your identity.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (or enter the code manually).
- Verify with the 6-digit code from your app.
- Save the backup codes shown after verification.
Disable 2FA
Disabling 2FA requires your password. Once disabled, sign-in no longer asks for an authenticator code.
Provider-Managed Accounts
If your account is managed by Google or another sign-in provider instead of a Songkeeper password, the security card shows the provider name and 2FA is managed by that provider.
