Media Library

Uploading and managing images for use across Songkeeper

The media library is a centralized place to store images that you can reuse across Songkeeper — release artwork, playlist headers, artist promo photos, and social media posts. Images are served through a CDN for fast loading.

Supported Formats

  • JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF
  • Maximum file size: 20 MB
  • Dimensions: 100px to 10,000px per side

Files are validated on upload — Songkeeper checks both the file extension and the actual file contents to ensure the image is valid.

Uploading

Drag and drop images onto the media library page, or click to browse. Multiple files can be uploaded at once (up to 3 concurrently) with real-time progress for each file.

You can also upload directly from a picker when selecting images for other features — there's no need to visit the media library page first.

Using Images

When you select a media library image for a feature, Songkeeper creates a copy in that feature's storage location. This means:

  • Deleting an image from the library won't break existing usage on releases, playlists, or artists
  • Each feature gets its own optimized version of the image

Media library images can be used for:

  • Release artwork — Album, EP, and single cover art
  • Playlist headers — Background images for shared playlists
  • Artist photos — Promo images for artist profiles
  • Social media posts — Images for scheduled social content

Managing Images

  • Alt text — Add descriptive text for accessibility
  • Bulk actions — Select multiple images to delete or download as a ZIP
  • Storage tracking — The library page shows your total storage used across all uploaded images
Storage limits
Media library images count toward your account's storage quota. You can check your usage and add more storage in Settings.
