Project Tracking
Use project tracking sheets to monitor recording version progress with custom columns, presets, and not started, recorded, edited, complete, or not applicable statuses.
The Tracking tab is a project grid for recording progress. Rows are the recording versions in the project, and columns are the instruments, production stages, or checklist items you choose to track.
Quick answer
Add tracking columns manually or start from a preset, then click cells to cycle progress from Not Started to Recorded, Edited, Complete, and N/A.
Tracking Sheet Structure
| Part | What It Represents |
|---|---|
| Rows | Recording versions currently linked to the project. |
| Columns | Instruments or workflow steps such as drums, vocals, edits, or mixes. |
| Cells | The progress status for one column on one recording version. |
Tracking Statuses
- Not Started - Work has not begun.
- Recorded - The part or stage has been captured.
- Edited - The captured part has been edited.
- Complete - The part or stage is finished.
- N/A - The column does not apply to that version.
Presets and Column Actions
Presets add common columns for styles such as rock band, electronic, hip hop / R&B, singer-songwriter, pop, jazz, country, and metal. Presets skip columns that already exist. You can also add a custom column, delete a column, or set every row in a column to the same status at once.
