Project Sharing
Create project share links with contact or public access, folder rules, downloads, comments, uploads, approvals, billing visibility, passwords, and expiry dates.
Project sharing creates controlled access to project files. Use it when a collaborator, client, label, or other contact needs to review, download, comment on, approve, or upload files without getting full access to your Songkeeper account.
What a Project Share Can Control
| Control | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Contacts or public link | Share with selected contacts or create a copyable public link. |
| Folder access rules | Include specific recording, mixing, mastering, or asset folders. |
| Latest only | Show only the latest eligible file in supported folders. |
| Downloads | Allow or block file downloads for the share. |
| Security | Require account authentication, a password, or an expiry date. |
| Collaboration options | Enable comments, file approvals, uploads, and optional billing visibility. |
Folder Access
Project shares use folder-level access rules across the same file domains Songkeeper uses in the file browser. Select only the folders the recipient should see, then decide whether files in those folders can be downloaded.
Latest File Only
Some folders support a latest only rule. When enabled, the share filters that folder to the newest eligible file instead of showing every version. Use this for mix or master reviews where the recipient should focus on the current file.
Comments, Uploads, Approvals, and Billing
- Comments let recipients leave feedback on shared files. Comment authentication can be required separately.
- Uploads let recipients submit files back to the project when enabled for the share.
- File approvals let recipients approve shared files when approvals are enabled.
- Billing visibility is available for project shares when you want shared recipients to see financial information.
